It’s been a tough winter so far with conditions at most ski areas better suited to botanising or geology than skiing thanks to the lack of snow. Happily for us here at Mt Cook there’s still plenty of cover on the terrain thanks to high altitudes and proximity to the main divide. Around 3 meters of snow has accumulated on the Tasman so far this winter, filling in the crevasses nicely and giving good access into the ice falls and caves that we visit on our trips to the head of the glacier.
Take the chance to experience one of the grandest most awesomely beautiful places in the country and enjoy a few turns while you’re at it.
Happiness guaranteed!!
