What a week of weather. With a number of days having snow, wind, cloud, sun all in a few hrs it was hard to get out and about from Kelman Hut, but we tried to make the most of the weather. We couldn’t alway see the views while climbing but managed to summit a few of the peaks around Kelman in training for Mt cook next week.
We had to climb Alymer twice to actually see the view from the summit.
Bill had his TMC also in Kelman hut to keep company, and make some great photos of them as they explored the Tasman glacier area.
Training for Mt Cook next week we kept climbing as much as we could but summit views are hard to come by sometimes.
We did get some nice days and the early start on Hochsetter Dome had a great sunrise hoping to beat the incoming forecast weather.
And again views of the TMC climbing (climbing on the ridge)
We got out today before the forecast winds and now looking at weather maps for next week with fingers crossed for fine weather to climb Mt Cook.
